Are the gemstones offered here natural or synthetic?
Gemstones
offered by us are completely natural and we do not sell any synthetic or
imitation material. We do not even sell gems enhanced by unacceptable
artificial treatments. However, we do sell gemstones enhanced by globally
acceptable treatments like heat and oiling.

Why are gemstones treated?
Not
all gems are treated. There are certain gemstones that need naturalistic
treatment like heat, which is a globally acceptable treatment to enhance the
visual appearance of certain gemstones. Heat treatment is permanent in nature.
In addition this, the other acceptable treatment is oiling, which is mainly
used for Emeralds. In this, colorless oil is used to treat the stone's dryness
and cracks, and make it durable. Rest all other treatments may be called as
unacceptable, if they have not been declared properly.
We clearly mention the type of enhancement performed in the detailed view page
of an item, if it's treated.

How about your prices?
We
emphasize on providing quality to our customers and keeping that in mind, our
prices are a complete value for money. In service since 1955, we have built a
strong network of direct sources due to which, we are able to provide the best
prices.

Do the gemstones shown at takatgems.com look the same in reality as their
images?
Absolutely!
We do not enhance the color or quality of the images of our gemstones. We are
committed towards complete transparency by displaying the real picture of our
gemstones. Minor differences due to the variation in computer resolution can't
be ruled out though.

Yes,

SHIPPING & RETURNS

How do you ship the goods and what are the shipping charges?
After
your order has been processed it will be delivered via one of the following
methods
International
We can ship international order thru UPS, FEDEX, EMS, Speed Post, Airmail Post
Parcel Air Freight, Sea Freight etc as per your instructions. We normally ship
thru UPS the freight we charge on actual payment basis. For example for a 1000
gems shipment to U.S.A. the Shipping charges will be approx US$ 70.00 (This
amount also includes insurance for the goods for value up to US$ 1000.00) If
the quantity is more, then we can use air freight which is cheaper for bigger
shipment. We can also use airmail post which is about half the price then UPS,
but it takes a long time to reach. In any case for confirmation of any order
you can ask us freight charges with different modes and you can decide which
one is suitable for you.
Note: You have to pay shipping freight charges according to the method
you used.
If you provide us your A/C information of UPS/FEDEX or any other then we can
ship the goods on your A/C and will not charge the freight. You can track your

Date of Shipping
All orders ship out from Takat Gems within 7-9 days
Terms and policies
You will receive an email notification the day your order has been shipped with
a confirmation of shipment and a tracking number. In the event your order
cannot be shipped you will be contacted immediately by e-mail and informed the
reason for the delay.
Order Cancellation
If you’d like to cancel or change a Takat Gems order for any reason, Please
contact us and make sure to include your Takat Gems order number or call
+91-141-2378687 or mail at takatindia@takatgems.com, as soon as possible. We’ll
do everything we can to accommodate your request. Please bear in mind that or
order fulfillment system is designed to get orders shipped and on their way to
our customers quickly and efficiently. As a result, we cannot change or cancel
an order once it has already entered the shipping process. If your order cannot
be cancelled, and you are unhappy with it, simply return to Takat Gems
according to our return policy. Takat Gems reserves the right to cancel any
order that appears suspect or fraudulent. All fraudulent transactions will be
reported to proper authorities.
